Section B -- Winter Term 2000

Course Work and Assessment

Three assignments will be assigned during the term. These assignments require students to perform various econometric exercises using the statistical software program STATA. Students are permitted to submit assignments in groups of no more than three persons.

A mid-term test will be given in class during the sixth, seventh or eighth week of the term, on a date to be arranged.

A final examination will be given in April during the Winter Term examination period, and will cover the entire term's work.

The final course grade will be computed using the following weights:

Assignments .......... 20%

Mid-term Test ....... 25%

Final Examination ... 55%
