PhD Methods Review Preliminary Schedule - For Travel Planning Purposes
Part 1. Monday, August 23 - Friday, August 27 (Dunning 213)During this week we will have a mix of lecture and guided self-study. The focus will be students who need extra help or have particular gaps in their background.
Part 2. Monday, August 30 - Friday, September 3 (Dunning 213)
During this week we will cover more advanced topics. More 'lecture'
time each day than Part 1. Review quizzes each day to encourge students
to work on material outside of class each day.
Part 3. Tuesday, September 7 - Friday, September 10 (Monday, Sept. 1
is a holiday in Canada)(Dunning 227)
During this week we will cover computational methods. Resources
available at Queen's and recommended by the QED (such as Stata, Ox,
LaTex, etc.).
Part 4. Monday, September 13 - Friday, September 17 (first week of
classes)
We will use the first week of classes to wrap up and assess.
