Steps to Perform

  1. Carry out estimation of at least LDV model using either the data set you used from project II.1 or another DLI data set. If you switch data sets you should e-mail Jason and tell him.
  2. Give some justification for your choice of dependent variable, and your choice of independent variables.  It's best to cite papers, articles, or material from other courses, but there is no requirement to find a particular source paper.

  3. Use and interpret your estimation results in at least two different ways (hypothesis testing, prediction, etc).

  4. Do some experimentation with the specification of your X variables.  Describe how results change.

  5. Write your report using any word processor that can save to HTML file (or print to a pdf file).  Post the file to your ec452 homepage on qlink before the deadline.

Grading Criteria

10    Is your report clear, concise, accurate, and complete?
06    Does your choice of variables and specification make sense?
04    Do you properly interpret your results and use them in an interesting way?
20    Total Possible
