Mathias Moser and Paul Hofmarcher, "Model Priors Revisited: Interaction Terms in BMA Growth Applications", Journal of Applied Econometrics, Vol. 29, No. 2, 2014, pp. 344-347. Data ----- This paper uses the original dataset and readme file from Masanjala/Papageorgiou, "Rough and Lonely Road to Prosperity: A Reexamination of the Sources of Growth in Africa Using Bayesian Model Averaging", Journal of Applied Econometrics, Vol. 23, No. 5, pp. 671-682 The dataset is in the JAE data archive at http://qed.econ.queensu.ca/jae/2008-v23.5/masanjala-papageorgiou . This dataset will be automatically downloaded and loaded using the supplied R code (dilutbma.R). R program ---------- To replicate results use (a) dilutbma.R script, which is zipped in dilutbma.zip. Unix/Linux users should use "unzip -a". (b) R packages multicore, foreach, doMC and BMS available via CRAN/install.packages() (c) dilutBMS2 R package from https://bitbucket.org/matmo/dilutbms2 The supplied code is optimized for multi core processors (set cores= in line 25 to the number of available cores-1). Alternatively, cores= can be set to 1 and lines 23-25 can be commented out for single core CPUs.
