Thierry Magnac, Jean-Marc Robin, and Michael Visser, "Analyzing Incomplete Individual Employment History Using Indirect Inference", Journal of Applied Econometrics, Vol. 10, Supplement, 1995, pp. S153-S170. All data are in the file mrv.dat, which is an ASCII file in DOS format. This file is zipped in mrvdata.zip. Data sources: Extraction from Enquete Emploi INSEE 1986-1988. Organization of the data: There are seven variables denoted v1-v7 and 1150 observations. v7 is the weight attached to each observation because of the endogeneous sampling scheme (v1,v2), (v3-v4), (v5-v6) are the couples (state, duration) in 1986, 1987, 1988. State: {v1,v3,v5} It takes three values 1=unemployed 2=wage-work 3=self-employed Duration: {v2,v4,v6} in years. The domain of v2 is all positive numbers The domain of v4 is the interval 0-1. It is top-coded. A value 1 means that the state is the same in 1986 and 1987 (v1=v3) The domain of v6 is the interval 0-2. It is topcoded. A value between 1 and 2 means that the state is the same in 87 and 88 (v3=v5). A value 2 means that the state is the same in 86, 87, 88 (v1=v3=v5)
