The data used in this paper are from the "Survey on Household Income
and Wealth" (SHIW).  They are the property of the Bank of Italy; hence
the data cannot be lodged here.  However, they can be accessed free of
charge from:

If the organization of the original file is different from the one
when I downloaded the data, send me an email AFTER you have downloaded
the raw data and I will provide you with the final dataset.

The set of files I provide contain:

-- all the do files (to obtain the final dataset and produce the
results);

-- a folder named "ado", where the adofiles should be stored (send me
an email to obtian the relevant ado);

-- a folder named "result", which contains a large part of the results
produced by the dofiles.

All these files are zipped in dd-files.zip.

To replicate the results in the paper, open the file master.do and
