the Philippine National Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS), and the
2014 and 2016 rounds of the Philippine Annual Poverty Indicators
Survey (APIS).

Permission to use and access these data sources should be directed to
the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), which conducted and
archives these surveys.

Only total health expenditures is available in the APIS standard
public-use file. Detailed health expenditures by type (i.e., for
inpatient care, outpatient care, and medical products) used in Section
7.1 may be requested from PSA. For the NDHS, only the "Household
Member Recode" file in each survey round are used.
