There are two .csv data files: jain_data.csv and Worldbank_data.csv.
They are ASCII files in DOS format, which are zipped in the file
clm-data.zip. Unix/Linux users should use "unzip -a".

The file jain_data.csv is of size 4KB. It contains 4 variables each
with 10 observations. The data are from Jain (1975). The variable
names and definitions are as follows:

proportions	The income decile (e.g. .5 is the 40-50% cumulative population
                share, ordered by income.)

y_Sweden	The income share held by the corresponding cumulative
                population share in Sweden year 1970.

y_Brazil	The income share held by the corresponding cumulative
                population share in Brazil year 1970

t		An index, numbers from 1-10


The file Worldbank_data.csv is of size 4KB. The file contains 12
variables each with 7 observations.  The data are from the World Bank
Povery and Equity Database
(http://povertydata.worldbank.org/poverty/home/). The variable names
and definitions are as follows:

t2		An index, numbers from 1-7	

prop2		The income decile (e.g. .1 is the 0-10% cumulative
                population share, ordered by income.)

Brazil1987	The income share held by the corresponding cumulative
                population share in Brazil year 1987.

Brazil1992	The income share held by the corresponding cumulative
                population share in Brazil year 1992.

Brazil1995	The income share held by the corresponding cumulative
                population share in Brazil year 1995.

Brazil2001	The income share held by the corresponding cumulative
                population share in Brazil year 2001.

Brazil2005	The income share held by the corresponding cumulative
                population share in Brazil year 2005.

Sweden1987	The income share held by the corresponding cumulative
                population share in Sweden year 1987.

Sweden1992	The income share held by the corresponding cumulative
                population share in Sweden year 1992.

Sweden1995	The income share held by the corresponding cumulative
                population share in Sweden year 1995.

Sweden2000	The income share held by the corresponding cumulative
                population share in Sweden year 2000.

Sweden2005	The income share held by the corresponding cumulative
                population share in Sweden year 2005.
