Dataset

The dataset is in the file cmr-data.txt and contains annual data from
1969 to 2007 for 118 countries. cmr-data.txt is an ASCII file in DOS
format. It is zipped in the file cmr-data.zip.

for the list of the 118 countries in our sample. The data supplement
is also available at:

Variables

The first three columns of the dataset identifies each country by: IFS
and ISO country codes as well as the full country name. The fourth
columns gives the year, and the remaining columns (5 to 14) contain
the following 10 variables:

  Real GDP per capita
  Government Burden
  Openess
  CPI
  CTOT
  Total Factor Productivity
  Physical Capital per Capita
  Human Capital per Capita
  Education
