Jesus Crespo Cuaresma and Martin Feldkircher, "Spatial Filtering, Model Uncertainty and the Speed of Income Convergence", Journal of Applied Econometrics, Vol. 28. No. 4, 2013, pp. 720-741. Data files: "variables.txt": contains data on 255 Nuts-2 regions (rows) and 51 variables (columns). The first variable (first column) is the annual average growth rate of income per capita deflated with national prices. The next 50 columns contain the regressors used in the paper. See the web appendix of the paper for a detailed variable description. "EV_*.*.txt": These are 40 text files prefixed with EV (eigenvector), each corresponding to the eigenvectors of the weighting matrices described in the paper. Each "EV_" file has 255 rows and as many columns as eigenvectors of that spatial matrix are used in the procedurte. See the paper for more details. All data files are zipped in the file cf-data.zip. Since they are ASCII files in DOS format, Unix/Linux users should use "unzip -a". In addition, the R dataset DataList.rda contains all the data in binary form. Program file: The file cf-code.r, which is compressed in cf-code.zip, contains R code. Unix/Linux users should use "unzip -a". Jesus Crespo Cuaresma Martin Feldkircher January 2012
