The paper uses data from the Health and Retirement Study (HRS), sample waves
1992-2002. All data are from the HRS website
(http://hrsonline.isr.umich.edu/), and data were last downloaded on Nov 15,
2005.

Since the data are confidential, we cannot make them available to the JAE
data archive. Copied from the HRS website: "HRS data products are available
without cost to researchers and analysts. User Registration is required in
order to download files."

A fair amount of work went into preparing the data. We make available a
detailed set of instructions that describes how to replicate data
preparation to the JAE archive.
