The data are found in the file egy-data.txt, which is an ASCII file in DOS
format. The size of the file is about 19KB. It is zipped in the file
gs-data.zip. Unix users should use "unzip -a".

The data are in the form of a panel dataset, which contains 9 yearly
observations for each sector. Below we provide the variable definitions. A
detailed description of data sources can be found in the paper. 

The variables contained in egy-data.txt are:

  sector id = id numbers identifying the 28 three-digit manufacturing sectors
  year id = id numbers identifying the 9 years of data for each sector
  qo = output quantity index 
  qk = capital quantity index
  ql = labor quantity index
  qe = energy quantity index
  qm = materials quantity index
  qv = value added index
  po = output price index
  pk = capital price index
  pl = labor price index
  pe = energy price index
  pm = materials price index
  pv = value added price index

There are 252 observations.
