The data are in the ASCII file "FLABOR.MJL", which is zipped in the file
mjl.zip. These data were extracted from 1987 wave of Michigan Panel
Study of Income Dynamics (PSID). The number of the observations is 3382.
The details of the data set including some summary statistics are
available in the paper. 

    The data set has 14 columns:

1.  wife working hours per year
2.  the other household income in $100 (not in $1000)
3.  age of the wife
4.  education years of the wife

5.  number of children for ages 0 to 5
6.  number of children for ages 6 to 13
7.  number of children for ages 14 to 17

8.  1 if non-white, and 0 otherwise.
9.  1 if the home is owned by the household, and 0 otherwise
10. 1 if the home is on mortgage, and 0 otherwise

11. 1 if the husband is manager or professional, and 0 otherwise
12. 1 if the husband is sales worker or clerical or craftsman, and 0 otherwise
13. 1 if the husband is farm-related worker

14. local unemployment rate in %
